Men’s Golf Welcomes Class of 2029

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Keith Tyburski, Head Coach of Men's Golf, has announced that two newcomers, Preston Howe and Ansen Tran, will join the program this fall ahead of the 2025-26 season.

"We are excited to welcome Ansen and Preston to campus this fall," said Tyburski. "They will be outstanding ambassadors for Yale and will help our program continue to rise on the national stage. Both are hard workers with the talent to make significant contributions right away."

  • Two-time MVP of the men's golf team at Forsyth Country Day School
  • Four-time conference champion (2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025)
  • Three-time state runner-up (2023, 2024 and 2025)
  • Four-time All-Conference Honoree (2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025)
  • Two-time All-State Honoree (2023 and 2024)
  • No. 1 ranked player in NC Private 3A division in 2024
  • Three AJGA top-5 finishes
  • Personal Best in Competition: 65 (-7)
