DERBY, Conn. – Battling windy, rainy conditions, the No. 5 Yale women's crew team had another strong showing on Saturday morning at home on the Housatonic River, as the first varsity boat retained the Class of '85 Cup with a win over Dartmouth.
 
In addition to retaining the Class of '85 Cup, the Bulldogs completed the sweep with victories in the second varsity, third varsity, varsity four, second varsity four, and third varsity four races.
 
Race Results

• The third varsity boat got the Bulldogs started with a win, crossing the line ahead of Dartmouth (6:45.47) with a time of 6:33.30.
• Stroked by Violet Barletta, Yale's first varsity boat had a strong performance, retaining the Class of '85 Cup, defeating the Big Green (6:22.45) by 14.05 seconds with a time of 6:08.40.
• The Bulldogs continued to be victorious, as the second varsity finished first at 6:19.20, ahead of Dartmouth (6:31.79).
• Yale's varsity four maintained the Bulldogs' momentum, winning with a time of 6:55.60, 21.12 seconds ahead of the Big Green (7:16.72).
• The second varsity four had a big win, defeating Dartmouth (7:24.80) by 23.90 seconds in a time of 7:00.90.
• Yale's third varsity four capped off the sweep, crossing the line at 7:23.50 to beat Dartmouth (7:41.71).

The Bulldogs will face Princeton for the Eisenberg Cup on Saturday, Apr. 19.
