PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale men's golf team wrapped up competition at the Princeton Invitational, held at Springdale Golf Club. Originally scheduled as a 54-hole tournament, the event was shortened to 36 holes due to rain, with 18 holes played each day.
Yale finished fourth out of 14 teams, carding a two-day total of 582 (+14) with rounds of 290 and 292. The Bulldogs were just one stroke behind third-place Seton Hall (581) and three strokes behind runner-up Rutgers (579). Host Princeton claimed the team title with a 566 (289–277).
Tournament Summary
- Will Lodge finished fifth overall after posting back-to-back rounds of even-par 71.
- Blake Brantley tied for 11th with scores of 71 and 73 and a total of 144.
- Sam Davis tied for 19th, finishing with a 147 (74–73).
Notes
- It was Lodge's first top-five finish this spring.
- Matthew Lin led all competitors in par-three scoring (2.74).
- Lin also ranked 10th in total birdies with seven.
- Will Lodge was one of just six players in the field to record an eagle.
