PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 5 Yale women's crew team continued its winning ways on Saturday morning at Lake Carnegie, as the first varsity boat reclaimed the Eisenberg Cup with a win over No. 4 Princeton, bringing it back to New Haven.
The Bulldogs also delivered strong performances across the board, securing the sweep with victories in the second varsity, third varsity, varsity four, second varsity four, and third varsity four races.
Race Results
- Stroked by Violet Barletta, the first varsity boat got the morning started, crossing the line 3.5 seconds ahead of Princeton (6:07.3) at 6:03.8.
- The second varsity took down the Tigers (6:17.5) by 1.2 seconds, finishing at 6:16.3.
- The varsity four boat had a big win, crossing the line at 6:57.6, 10.7 seconds ahead of Princeton (7:08.3).
- Yale's third varsity maintained the Bulldogs' momentum, winning with a time of 6:32.9, ahead of the Tigers (6:37.3).
- The Bulldogs' second varsity four had a strong performance, crossing the line at 7:08.3, 9.7 seconds ahead of Princeton (7:18.0).
- Yale's third varsity four capped off the sweep, crossing the line at 7:26.9 to beat the Tigers (7:29.9).
