CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Battling rainy conditions, the No. 4 Yale women's crew team continued its impressive spring season on Saturday, as the first varsity boat claimed the Case Cup for the 12^th straight year with a dominant open water victory over Radcliffe on the Charles River.
 
The Bulldogs were once again also strong across the board, securing the sweep over Radcliffe with wins in the second varsity, third varsity, varsity four, and second varsity four events. Yale also defeated Boston University in the third varsity four and third varsity races.
 
Race Results

• Stroked by Violet Barletta, the first varsity boat got the morning started in style, crossing the line 12.8 seconds ahead of Radcliffe (6:51.6) at 6:38.8 to retain the Case Cup.
• The second varsity took down Radcliffe (6:55.8) by 9.4 seconds, finishing at 6:46.4.
• Yale's varsity four boat had a big win, crossing the line at 7:38.3, 16.5 seconds ahead of Radcliffe (7:54.8).
• The Bulldogs' second varsity four took down Radcliffe (8:02.1) with a time of 7:52.1. Yale's third varsity four also competed in the same race and took down the Terriers (8:55.8) at 8:25.2.
• Yale's third varsity boat capped off the morning with a victory, crossing the line at 7:16.3, ahead of Radcliffe (7:27.5), and Boston University (7:53.0).

Looking Ahead
The Bulldogs will head to the Ivy League Championship in Pennsauken, N.J., on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18.
