Five Bulldogs Garner All-Ivy Accolades

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Ahead of making their 14th straight appearance in the Ivy League tournament this week, five individuals from the Yale men's lacrosse team were honored as the league announced its annual awards on Wednesday afternoon.  Leo Johnson, Max Krevsky, and Jack Stuzin were named to the Second Team All-Ivy, and Patrick Pisano and Machado Rodriguez were tabbed Honorable Mention selections. Stuzin also earned Academic All-Ivy Honors.
 
Johnson has earned All-Ivy recognition for the second time in his collegiate career. A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, he has been a key contributor for the Bulldogs this season, scoring 25 goals, the second-highest total on the team, while leading Yale with 18 assists and 43 total points. The senior ranks seventh in the conference in both assists per game (1.50) and points per game (3.58). He also scored his 100th career goal against Princeton and currently stands ninth in Yale's all-time scoring list with 169 career points.
 
Krevsky, Yale's captain, garnered All-Ivy honors for a second consecutive season. The senior scored nine goals and contributed 11 assists, the second-highest total on the team. The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native also notched at least one assist in eight of Yale's 12 games this season.
 
Stuzin, a senior, earned All-Ivy accolades for the third straight year. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, he has been a key part of Yale's defense. He ranks 10th in the league in caused turnovers per game (1.17), is third on the team in ground balls (34), and leads the team with 14 caused turnovers. Off the field, the History major has also excelled academically, earning Academic All-Ivy recognition.
 
Pisano, is an All-Ivy honoree for a second straight season. The junior has been a cornerstone of Yale's defense, ranking fourth on the team with 22 ground balls and second with 12 caused turnovers.
 
Rodriguez, garnered All-Ivy honors for the second straight year. The senior has been one of the top faceoff men in the conference throughout the season. He holds a .549 faceoff win percentage, which is second in the Ivy League. Nationally, he ranks 16th in ground balls per game (6.30) and also leads the team with 63 ground balls.
 
The Bulldogs will face top-seeded and No. 1 ranked Cornell in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals on Friday, May 2 at 4 p.m. The championship game will take place on Sunday, May 4 at 1 p.m.
