SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Battling tough, rainy conditions, the Yale women's crew team had a stellar showing at Fish Creek on Saturday, as the first varsity boat retained the Cayuga Cup with an open water victory over No. 10 Syracuse and Cornell.
 
In addition to retaining the Cayuga Cup, the Bulldogs swept the Orange and the Big Red, securing wins in the second varsity, third varsity, varsity four, second varsity four, and third varsity four races.
 
Race Results

• The afternoon kicked off with a victory from Yale's third varsity, crossing the line at 7:04.360, followed by Syracuse (7:11.078), and Cornell (7:43.717).
• In the second race, the Bulldogs' first varsity boat had a strong performance, finishing at 6:44.600, 12.127 seconds ahead of Syracuse (6:56.727) followed by Cornell (7:16.161).
• The Bulldogs continued to be victorious as the second varsity crossed the line at 6:56.050, ahead of Syracuse (7:11.539) and Cornell (7:39.200)
• The varsity four maintained the Bulldogs' momentum, finishing first with a time of 7:38.910, ahead of Syracuse (7:47.215) and Cornell (8:35.668).
• The second varsity four won with a time of 7:51.990 ahead of Syracuse (8:02.190) and Cornell (8:49.768)
• The third varsity four capped off a perfect day for the Bulldogs, crossing the line at 8:13.280, ahead of Syracuse (8:35.379) and Cornell (8:41.727)
