NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame has announced the field for the 2025 MGM Springfield Basketball Hall of Fame Classic event, and Yale will be one of four participants. The annual showcase is set for December 10 at the MassMutual Center and will feature a doubleheader, beginning with a matchup between UMass and Boston College, followed by Yale taking on UAlbany.
"We are proud to announce the field for the 2025 Hall of Fame Classic," said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. "This event has become a staple of our winter lineup, offering a great environment for the programs and drawing strong support from the local community. We look forward to welcoming these teams to the 'Birthplace of Basketball' this December."

Yale is coming off an impressive 2024-25 campaign, posting a 22-8 overall record, and a dominant 13-1 mark in league action. The Bulldogs also recorded the nation's longest active winning streak at 13 games and was perfect at home, going 11-0. Yale also clinched its fourth NCAA tournament berth five years after a win over Cornell in the Ivy Madness Championship game. The Bulldogs have now captured seven Ivy League Championships during Jones' tenure.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 5, at massmutualcenter.com. Fans may also purchase in person at the MassMutual Center Box Office starting Saturday, September 6.
