Five Bulldogs Compete at Princeton Elite

PRINCETON, N.J. – Five members of the Yale men's track and field team competed at the Princeton Elite meet Saturday. The meet provided a chance to chase PRs and improve times with NCAA First Round East selections coming up this week.
 
The Bulldogs:
  • Sophomore Nathan Lebowitz placed second overall, and was the top collegiate finisher, in the discus throw. His mark of 52.83m came in his sixth attempt. Lebowitz currently ranks No. 36 in the East with his mark of 54.69m from the Penn Relays.
  • Junior Nolan Recker placed fourth and junior Jake Sun placed 10th in the hammer throw. Recker's mark of 60.05m is a PR, second on Yale's all-time list. Sun threw 55.65m.
  • Junior Owen Karas competed in the 800m, finishing second in his heat (1:49.24) and seventh overall.
  • Senior Leo Brewer competed in the 5000m, finishing sixth overall (14:09.03).
