Throwers Deliver 11 Points on Day One at Heps

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale men's track and field team opened competition at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at Princeton's Weaver Stadium. Led by a third-place finish in the hammer throw by senior Nolan Recker (62.59m), Yale got all 11 of its points from the throws group. Only Princeton, the meet leader overall with 57 points through five events, got more points than Yale in Saturday's two throwing events (the Tigers got 28 points from throws). 
 
Competition concludes Sunday. 
 
Scoring is on a 10-8-6-4-2-1 scale.
