ESKILSTUNA, Sweden – Yale women's soccer alumna
Ellie Rappole '25 has signed a professional contract with Eskilstuna United of Sweden's Elitettan league.
Eskilstuna United competes in Elitettan, the second-highest division of women's soccer in Sweden. The team is currently at the top of the league table with a 7-1-1 record through nine matches.
A two-time All-Ivy selection and 2024 First Team honoree, Rappole capped her senior season by leading the Bulldogs with five goals and four assists, including game-winning tallies against Oregon State and Dartmouth. Over her four-year career, she appeared in 60 matches, recording 19 goals and 12 assists. Known for her offensive instincts and clutch performances, Rappole also earned All-East Region and All-New England honors in 2024, finishing her Yale career as one of the most decorated players in her class.
Eskilstuna is located in Södermanland County, Sweden, and is the seat of Eskilstuna Municipality.
About Elitettan
Elitettan is the second-highest division in Swedish women's football. The 14-team league operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the top-tier Damallsvenskan and Division 1. Several world-class players, including Denmark's Pernille Harder, the United States' Christen Press, and Brazil's Marta, have competed in Sweden's top-flight leagues.
Elitettan runs from April through October, with each team playing 26 matches per season. The league was established in 2013.
