NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale men's soccer team prepares to open the 2025 season with a pair of games over the Labor Day weekend. The Bulldogs open at Sacred Heart on Friday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. before hosting Syracuse on Monday, Sept. 1 at Reese Stadium.
The Bulldogs finished 4-11-1 last season, picking up victories over Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac, Cornell and Albertus Magnus. Yale is just two years removed from winning the Ivy League Tournament Championship in 2023. This year, the Bulldogs were picked to finish seventh in the Ivy League Preseason Poll.
Moving Forward

Jamie Orson also graduated after strong collegiate careers.
Yale returns nearly a dozen players who competed in at least 10 games last season. Junior
Joseph Farouz was the team's leading goal-scorer with six goals and two assists. In 30 collegiate games, Farouz has scored eight times with five helpers. 2025 team captain
Diego Zaffanella will continue to be a strong presence in the midfield after starting every game last season. Upperclassmen
Aydin Jay,
Nick Miller, and
Alex Umana will also factor in as veteran leadership. Sophomores
Salif Leintu,
