NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A record-breaking performance by senior Nolan Recker highlighted the first competition of 2026 for the Yale men's track and field team Saturday at Coxe Cage. Taking on Ivy League rivals Columbia and Dartmouth in their annual tri-meet, the Bulldogs got six first-place finishes. They totaled 49 points, placing third behind Columbia (72) and Dartmouth (54).

Distance, Middle-Distance

• Sophomore Otis Irwin earned the win in the 500m (1:03.06).

 
Sprints

• Yale first-years took three of the top four spots in the 60m, led by Graham Houghton (6.87). 

 
Hurdles

• First-year Aiden Martinez won the 60m hurdles (8.20).

 
Jumps

• Senior Brian Di Bassinga won the triple jump (15.11)
• Junior Jamaal Darlington won the high jump (1.92).

 
Throws

• Senior Nolan Recker won the weight throw with a mark of 21.04m, breaking his own school record (20.80m).
