Bulldogs Tie Lions for First at Annual YDC Meet

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team tied Columbia for first at the annual YDC meet Saturday at Coxe Cage. The Bulldogs and Lions both finished with 65.5 points, while third-place Dartmouth finished with 49. Yale had six first-place finishes.

Distance, Middle-Distance
  • Junior identical twins Victoria Guerrier (1:11.81) and Gloria Guerrier (1:12.62) went 1-2 in the 500m.
  • Sophomore Zoe Martonfi won the mile (4:53.22).
  • Yale swept the top three spots in the 3000m, led by junior Hebe Chadwick (9:38.84). That earned 10 points, making Yale the only school to earn 10 points in one event Saturday.
 
Sprints
  • Yale took two of the top three spots in the 60m, led by a win from junior Juliette Kosmont (7.46).
 
Hurdles
  • Junior Lucija Grd won the 60m hurdles (8.46). She finished in 8.47 in the first round; that was .02 away from her own school record.
