NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Nine members of the Yale men's and women's squash teams will compete at the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships from Jan. 23–27 in New York. The preliminary rounds will be hosted at Open Squash in FiDi, while the semifinals and championships will take place at Grand Central Terminal.
On the men's side, seniors Tad Carney and Arav Bhagwati, junior Lachlan Sutton, and sophomore Rohan Arya Gondi will compete for the Pool Trophy. Carney is the No. 1 seed after an undefeated start to the 2025–26 season and has earned a first-round bye. The senior captain reached the semifinals of the national championship event last season before falling to eventual champion Salman Khalil of Penn. Sutton and Bhagwati competed for the Pool Trophy in 2025. Sutton won a pair of matches, reaching the quarterfinals. Bhagwati claimed victory over Dartmouth's William Aube in his first-round matchup before dropping a match to Karim Elbarbary of Virginia. Gondi will compete in the event for the first time.
Sophomores Heng Wai Wong, Spring Ma, and Meha Shah, along with first years Elise Kang and Eedha Mehta, will play for the Ramsay Cup on the women's side. Wong and Ma both competed in the event last season, with the latter reaching the quarterfinals. Shah, Kang, and Mehta will make their national championship debuts.
