NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- After helping the Yale field hockey team to a 2-0 shutout win over No. 18 Monmouth, sophomore goalkeeper Amelie Schwarzkopf (Berlin, Germany) has been named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week. The league announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon.

Schwarzkopf allowed only two goals in 117:06 for the weekend, totaling 10 saves (.833 save percentage, 1.06 GAA). That included denying a penalty stroke Friday night at No. 10 Princeton. Her 10 saves in that game were a career high. Schwarzkopf's shutout Sunday was her third of the season. It marked the first time Monmouth has been shut out since Sept. 28, 2025.

Schwarzkopf is a graduate of Dreilinden-Gymnasium.
