NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team hosted the 19th Giegengack Invitational Saturday at Coxe Cage, competing against teams from throughout the Northeast. The Bulldogs won five individual events, highlighted by junior Lucija Grd breaking her own school record with a time of 8.29 in the 60m hurdles.
 
The Bulldogs totaled seven top-two finishes:
 
First-Place Finishes

• Junior Lucija Grd, 60m Hurdles, 8.29
• Junior Sophie Spokes, 200m, 24.98
• Sophomore Anna Sicilano, Shot Put, 14.06
• Senior Makayla Harris, Weight Throw, 18.10m
• First-year Layni Kaase, High Jump, 1.65m

 
Second-Place Finishes

• Junior Juliette Kosmont, 60m, 7.47
• Senior Makayla Harris, Shot Put, 13.85

 
Yale also had several athletes compete at BU's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday. The highlight there was junior Gloria Guerrier taking fourth in the 400m with a time of 54.35.
