Men’s Swimming & Diving Set for Ivy League Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's swimming & diving team is set to compete at the Ivy League Championships, hosted by Princeton at DeNunzio Pool.
 
Action kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 25 with the 200-yard medley relay followed by the 800-yard freestyle relay. Competition continues through Saturday, Feb. 28. Each day will start with prelims beginning at 11 a.m. before the 6 p.m. finals. All sessions will be featured on ESPN+.

Quick Facts
  • The Bulldogs finished the Ivy dual meet season with a 6–2 overall record (5–2 Ivy).
  • Nick Finch and Noah Millard shattered Kiphuth Pool records against Cornell, with Finch touching in 45.77 in the 100 butterfly and Millard finishing the 1650 freestyle in an impressive 15:03.15.
  • Against Harvard and Princeton, the Bulldogs were highlighted by event victories from Jake Wang in the 100 backstroke, Charlie Egeland in the 100 breaststroke, Kavin Li in the 400 IM, and Finch in the 100 butterfly.
  • Last year at the championships, Yale capped off four days of incredible swimming with a total of 23 medals and a third-place finish with 1,212.5 points. Princeton took first with 1,330 points, and Harvard finished second with 1,262.5.
  • Millard set a meet record in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 14:34.72, earning his second gold medal and second meet record of the championship. The time was also an NCAA A cut.
  • The 400 freestyle relay quartet of Finch, Deniel Nankov, Wang, and Millard closed out Ivies in 2025 in a big way, winning the final with an Ivy League, pool, and team record — as well as an NCAA A standard time — of 2:48.74.
  • Additionally, Arshak Hambardzumyan (1000 freestyle), Finch (100 butterfly, 50 freestyle), Millard (500 freestyle), the 200 freestyle relay team, and the 200 medley relay team won gold at the championship with record-breaking performances.
  • 13 Bulldogs earned All-Ivy honors following the championships.
  • Millard earned Honorable Mention All-American recognition after securing a top-10 finish in the 500 freestyle at the NCAA Championships. He then followed with an impressive swim in the 1650 freestyle, where he placed fourth and earned First Team All-American honors.
  • Finch concluded his impressive first season as a Bulldog with an 11th-place finish in the 100 butterfly at the NCAA Championships, earning Honorable Mention All-American honors.
