Molly Boyle of the Yale women's ice hockey team was named ECAC Hockey ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday morning. This is Boyle's second conference honor after winning ECAC Rookie of the Month in November.
Boyle continued her outstanding debut season for the Bulldogs over the weekend, helping the team earn a sweep of RPI and Union while extending its win streak to 11 games. Friday night at RPI, Boyle tallied a career-best four assists, in an 8-2 win. The next day against Union, Boyle put the Bulldogs on the board 1:53 into the second period of a game that Yale went on to win 5-2. Boyle currently has the third-most assists in the ECAC among freshmen players.
The Bulldogs will host Clarkson and St. Lawrence at Ingalls Rink on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7.
