NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Two members of the Yale women's basketball team were honored by the Ivy League as the league announced its annual awards Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore guard Ciniya Moore (Bradenton, Fla.) was named honorable mention All-Ivy League and junior forward Luisa Vydrova (Prague, Czech Republic) was named Academic All-Ivy League.

Moore enjoyed a breakthrough season as a sophomore, ranking among the Ivy League's top six in these stat categories:
  • 2nd in free throw percentage (.871)
  • 2nd in minutes per game (34.9)
  • 3rd in scoring (17.4 points per game)
  • T-6th in three pointers per game (1.6)
Moore was one of only two sophomores to earn All-Ivy honors this year (Penn's Katie Collins made the second team).

Moore averaged 17.8 points per game in Ivy League games, highlighted by a 32 point game vs. Harvard on Feb. 13 – one shy of her career high, set Dec. 20 at High Point. Moore had eight games in which she scored 20 or more points, including three Ivy games. Overall she ranks third in the Ivy League in scoring; the last Bulldog to finish among the league's top three in scoring was Roxy Barahman '20 in 2019-20 (17.1 ppg).

Moore improved her points per game to 17.4 this year from 5.6 the previous year. That 11.8 points per game improvement is the biggest year-to-year improvement in scoring by an Ivy League player since Penn's Stina Almqvist went from 3.4 points per game in 2022-23 to 15.3 points per game in 2023-24 (an 11.9 points per game improvement).

Moore made a dramatic year-to-year improvement in her shooting both from three-point territory (to .362 this season from .258 in her first season) and from the free throw line (to .871 this season from .727 in her first season). She ended this season with a streak of 15 straight made free throws. She nearly doubled her minutes per game (to 34.9 from 17.8).
A graduate of IMG Academy, Moore played three years with FGB on the Under Armour circuit (averaging 16 points per game) and one year with Essence Girls Basketball on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Vydrova started all 27 games this past season, finishing second on the team in scoring (10.6 points per game) and assists (56). She was third on the team in blocks (19) and fourth in steals (28). She was fifth in rebounding (4.7 rebounds per game). Vydrova had a season-high 19 points at Penn State Nov. 30, and she scored in double digits 16 times. Her season high in rebounds was nine, achieved three times.

An economics major, Vydrova is a graduate of Gymnázium Nad Štolou. She transferred to Yale from UTEP prior to this season. At UTEP, she was a two-time Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medalist and Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection. She made the CUSA Women's All-Academic Team in 2024-25.
