STATESBORO, Ga. – The Yale men's golf team wrapped play at the Schenkel Invitational. The tournament was hosted at the Forest Heights Country Club.
At the conclusion of round one, the Bulldogs were tied for second in the 15-team field. Matthew Lin led the charge for Yale, sitting in a tie for second after shooting a 68 (four-under).
Round two finished in similar fashion as Yale remained in sixth place, while Lin held his spot in a tie for second after firing a career-low 66 (six-under). He followed that with a 69 (three-under) in round three to finish with a three-round total of 203 (13-under par). Lin led the field with 19 birdies and a par-4 scoring mark of eight-under.
"Matt played absolutely incredible golf this week," said Keith Tyburski, head coach. "From the first tee shot to the final putt, his attitude was nothing but positive. Winning a tournament of this caliber will be huge for his confidence moving forward."
The victory marked Lin's second collegiate tournament title. He previously earned medalist honors at the Columbia Spring Invitational on March 31, 2025.
Will Lodge also recorded a top-10 finish, placing in a tie for seventh. He opened with a 70 (two-under), followed by a 73 (one-over) and a 66 (six-under) in round three. His final-round score tied a career low and marked his lowest round relative to par.
As a team, the Bulldogs finished in a tie for sixth with Marquette in the 15-team field. No. 26 Utah claimed the team title after finishing at 21-under par.
