NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale Athletics has announced the hiring of Zachary Happy as assistant general manager at the Yale Golf Course.

Zachary's background in club operations and event management makes him a great fit for our team, and I'm excited to have him join our staff."
Happy brings more than a decade of experience in golf operations and instruction to Yale. He joins the Yale Golf Course after spending the last five years as lead assistant golf professional at the New Haven Country Club, where he oversaw golf and event operations, merchandising, and instructional programming.
In 2024, Happy was elected to the Connecticut Section of the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) of America.
Prior to his time at New Haven Country Club, Happy served as head golf professional at Oronoque Country Club in Stratford, Connecticut, where he managed golf operations and member programming. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Vanderbilt Country Club in Naples, Florida, and Berkeley Country Club in El Cerrito, California, gaining experience in tournament administration, instruction, and daily club operations.
In addition to his work in golf operations and instruction, Happy competes in events within the Connecticut PGA Section.
