LINKS Magazine Names Yale Golf Course Connecticut’s Top Course

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – LINKS Magazine has released its Top 10 Courses: Connecticut rankings, and the Yale Golf Course earned the No. 1 spot.

The recognition comes during a milestone year for the historic course, which is celebrating its centennial and reopened on April 28 following a comprehensive restoration led by renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse.

The project returned the course to the original 1926 vision of designers Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor while modernizing infrastructure to championship standards. Key restoration highlights included expanding greens, tees, bunkers, and fairways to their historic dimensions, rebuilding the iconic Double Punch Bowl green on Hole No. 3, restoring the double-fairway holes on Nos. 3 and 18, and implementing a state-of-the-art irrigation system.

Earlier this year, prior to the reopening, LINKS also ranked the Yale Golf Course No. 53 in its Top 100 U.S. Courses rankings.
