NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Following a dominant 18–7 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday, Yale men's lacrosse captain
Patrick Pisano earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors, as announced Monday afternoon. The weekly award is the first of his career.
Pisano delivered a strong performance for Yale in its win over the Big Green, making his presence felt on both ends of the field. He contributed defensively with a team-high three caused turnovers and three ground balls, and also reached a personal milestone by scoring his first collegiate goal.
Additionally, the senior recently earned Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention Midseason All-America honors. He is tied for first on the team with 27 ground balls and leads the team with 16 caused turnovers, including 10 in league play. He also ranks second in the league, averaging 1.78 caused turnovers per game.
Pisano and the No. 17 Bulldogs will be back in action at home on Saturday, hosting No. 5 Harvard at 3:30 p.m.
