No. 18 Bulldogs Set to Face Dartmouth on the Road

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Fresh off a thrilling road upset over defending national champion No. 9 Cornell, the No. 18 Yale men's lacrosse team aims to carry that momentum into Saturday's matchup against Dartmouth, traveling north to take on the Big Green on Apr. 4.

Last Time Out
  • Peter Moynihan scored four goals, including the eventual game winner with 2:52 remaining, and Ben Friedman shined in goal with 20 saves as Yale picked up its first Ivy League victory in statement fashion, defeating the Big Red on Saturday afternoon at Schoellkopf Field.
  • The road win at Cornell marked the first for the Bulldogs' since 2018.

  • Luke Pascal tallied two goals.
  • David Anderson, Cole Jackson, Dylan Blekicki, and Cole Cashion each notched a goal.

  • Yale ranks 14th nationally in man-up offense (.471) and 18th in saves per game (12.88).
  • Gately ranks 16th in the NCAA in assists per game (2.13), second in the Ivy League.
  • Friedman is sixth nationally in saves per game (13.71), also second in the league.
  • Grogan ranks 10th in the Ivy League in goals per game (2.13).
  • Gately is also eighth in the league in points per game (3.75).
  • Pisano ranks second in the Ivy League in caused turnovers per game (1.63).
  • Head Coach Andy Shay sits at 197 career wins, just three shy of 200.
  • Moynihan recorded a career-high four goals at Cornell.
  • Grogan has scored in every game this season.
  • Gately has registered at least one point in all eight games.

Scouting Dartmouth
  • Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 4-5 overall record (0-2 Ivy).
  • The Big Green is coming off a 16-14 loss to Penn on Saturday.
  • In the defeat, Dartmouth led 14-6 at the 4:21 mark of the third quarter, and then gave up 10 straight goals to the Quakers.
  • Alex Jessey paced the Big Green with a six-point performance of three goals and three assists. Emmett Paradine also had a four-point performance with two goals and two assists.
  • Dartmouth was picked to finish fifth in the Ivy League Preseason Poll.
  • Thomas Power was named a Preseason Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention.
  • The Bulldogs have not lost to Dartmouth since 2009.
