NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Four members of the Yale women's tennis team,
Shyla Aggarwal,
Erin Ha,
Orly Ogilvy, and
Julia Werdiger, have been recognized for their achievements both academically and athletically, earning Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Aggarwal, a Second Team All-Ivy honoree, posted a 13-1 overall record during the spring season, primarily competing at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. She also recorded five wins in league play, highlighted by a straight-sets victory over Penn's Jo-Leen Saw to clinch the program's Ivy League title.
Ha, Yale's captain, posted a 17-3 overall record this season, including five wins in Ivy action while at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions. Additionally, she picked up 14 wins in doubles, seeing the majority of her time at the No. 3 position and partnering with Aggarwal.
Ogilvy, a First Team All-Ivy selection, had another solid season while competing at the No. 1 position for Yale. In the spring, Ogilvy posted an overall record of 8-6 and secured two Ivy League victories. Additionally, the junior went 2-0 at the ECAC Championships and garnered First Team Doubles honors alongside partner
Leena Friedman, who boasted an 11-7 spring record.
Werdiger picked up 11 victories in singles during the spring season, seeing the majority of her action from the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. She notched two of those wins during league play and took down Texas Tech's Ella Brownback in straight sets in the NCAA First Round, 6-4, 6-4.
