Yale Trio Competes at Larry Ellis Invite

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team had three athletes compete at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational Saturday. The unscored meet features teams from throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
  • Junior Victoria Guerrier won the 800m with a time of 2:10.39, edging a pair of Cornell runners – Tenley Nelson (second, 2:10.53) and Fiona Lee (third, 2:10.98).
  • Junior Gloria Guerrier placed second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 58.77, trailing only Chidubem Okwudibonye of Delaware State (58.60). Guerrier is now tied with Addison Coy '22 for second on Yale's all-time list in that event. Patricia Melton '83 holds the school record of 57.86, set in 1982.
  • Junior Sophie Spokes was sixth in the 200m with a time of 24.57. Columbia's Kylie Castillo won (24.19). Spokes is now tied for fifth on Yale's all-time list in that event.
