Women's Golf Kicks Off Season in State College

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's golf team will begin the 2026-27 season in State College, Pa. at the Nittany Lion Invitational and the Happy Valley Invitational.

Preseason Notes

Leading the Bulldogs
Senior Selena Tang was elected by her peers to serve as team captain for this upcoming season. "She has the respect and trust of her teammates and our coaching staff," said Head Coach Lauren Austin. Selena's can-do attitude and refusal to ever give up sets a strong tone within our group. She will be a strong captain, and we are looking forward to a great year."

Back Again
Returning alongside Tang are juniors Ellie Koo and Katie Ha, and sophomores Lydia Portlock, Anya Mathur, and Emma Lee.

New to the Fold
The Bulldogs welcome Hanny Wang (Beijing, China) and Serena Manduca (London, England) to the squad this season.

Hear from Coach
"I love the way we are starting this year by traveling with our entire squad to Penn State," said Austin. "This will be a great way to set the tone for the fall semester and have intentional conversations together on the road as we set our goals. I am very excited for everyone to be competing right out of the gate. I believe this is going to build strong cohesion within the group while also developing our competitive drive."
