Box Score Sears Honored By College Sports Madness
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Javier Duren, who made The Pass that set up The Shot, has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week. Off an in-bounds play, Duren made a perfect feed through traffic to Jack Montague, who drained a three-pointer from the corner with 1.7 seconds left in Yale's stunning 45-44 victory over UConn on Friday at Gampel Pavilion.
It capped a stellar week for Duren, who averaged 15 points, five rebounds and had 10 assists as the Bulldogs won back-to-back games at Bryant and UConn. Against Bryant, Duren matched his career high with seven assists, and in the victory over the Huskies, he led the Bulldogs with 15 points and added five rebounds and three steals.
Duren is seventh in the Ivy League in scoring at 14.3 ppg. and also is in the top-10 in the league in several other categories, including assists (3rd, 4.3 per game), steals (6th, 1.5), three-pointers made per game (10th, 1.7) and assist/turnover ratio (7th, 1.7).
Justin Sears, who scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the win over UConn, was selected as the league's player of the week by collegesportsmadness.com.

The Bulldogs (8-2) play at Florida on Monday night. The game will be televised on the SEC Network. There will be a video stream, but only subscribers who get the SEC Network will be able to access it.
