DERBY, Conn. - The top two Yale Heavyweight boats came in first and second in the collegiate men's competition of the 2019 Head of the Housatonic River this morning.
The Yale A boat had the best finish at 12:38.9 over the 3.2-mile course separating the towns of Derby and Shelton. The B eight was second overall with a 12:53.9. Syracuse and Brown came in third and fourth respectively.
The Elis, the three-time defending national champions, head to Boston next weekend for the Head of the Charles on Oct. 20.
