The Yale Women's Sailing Team had an outstanding weekend, winning both A and B divisions at the Victorian Urn hosted by Harvard on the Charles River.
Â
Seven races were sailed on Saturday in a light and shifty Northerly that gradually shifted to a southeasterly breeze. On Sunday the wind ranged from 6 to 18 knots from the South. The Bulldogs sailed through the pouring rain and secured their first-place finish.
Â
As the wind picked up junior crews Catherine Mollerus and Kathyrn Clulo jumped in the boat to finish off the regatta in races 11A, 12A and 12B. Through the challenging conditions the women made sure to be aware of changes on the race course by adjusting their strategy and boat handling as the conditions evolved.

Catherine Webb said, "racing on the Charles can be very shifty and have large pressure differentials, so it was crucial this weekend to have your head outside of the boat". The team's performance at the Urn is a promising end to a strong season and offers an exciting preview of what the Spring season will bring.Â
