Box Score 2 Terra Jerpbak had four hits, drove in the tying run in the seventh and earned the win in relief to lead the Bulldogs to a doubleheader split at Wagner on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs won game two 7-5 and dropped the opener 11-3. Yale is now 7-10 overall.
Annie Tarte had three hits and drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth. Tarte went 3 for 5 with three RBI in the nightcap.
Yale scored three in the seventh to tie the second game and two more in the eighth. Jerpbak tossed 3 and 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the extra-inning victory.
Tarte singled home the first run of the seventh to start the rally. Sydney Grobman drove in a run and Jerpbak tied the game with a single to left center.
Grobman had two hits and two RBI in the second game. She also had a two-run double in game one.
Yale returns to Ivy League play with a three-game series this weekend at Princeton. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday.
