VerVelde Named Business Manager

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Jesse VerVelde has joined the Yale Athletics family as Business Manager.
 
"We are very excited to have Jesse onboard here at Yale! He brings a wealth of knowledge from his experiences as a student-athlete, administrator, and coach. We cannot wait for him to assist in all aspects of our Business Operations, and look forward to seeing him grow throughout his career here," said GoEun Lee, Associate Athletic Director, Business Operations
 
VerVelde comes to Yale from Saint Leo University where he earned a Master's of Business Administration – Sport Business. While working toward his degree, he served as a Graduate Assistant for Business Services for the athletic department. His duties included coordinating travel details for 21 programs, including vehicle rentals, flights and hotel bookings, reviewing athletic budget accounts and assisting with financial administration of summer camps and conferences.
 
VerVelde also worked as an assistant men's basketball coach for one season at Saint Leo's.
 
VerVelde is a 2015 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he was a four-year member of the Pointers' football team.
 
VerVelde, a kicker, finished his career as UW-Stevens Point's all-time leader in PATs (125), field goals made (35) and points scored by a kicker (229). He was UWSP's first-ever Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Year as a senior and holds two of the top-seven single-season marks in made field goals with 12 in 2015 for third and 10 in 2014 for fourth.
 
He is a native of Oostburg, Wis., and holds a Bachelors of Science in business administration with a focus in management. From UW-Stevens Point.
