FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Yale men's golf team finished as the runner-up at The Doc Gimmler Invitational for the second straight season after the Bulldogs' three-over, 843 fell nine shots short of the 834 carded by tournament champion Navy.

In the 14-team invitational at Bethpage Red, a trio of Elis finished 11th or better on the individual leader board including junior captain
Teddy Zinsner and first-year
Gabriel Ruiz, who tied for fifth and seventh place, respectively.

Yale fared one shot better than third-place Lafayette while Rhode Island came in fourth at 848.Â
