CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The throwers and jumpers on the Yale women's track and field team competed for the third week in a row, putting in solid efforts across the board at the Harvard Crimson Elite Meet Friday. A total of 10 women competed for the Bulldogs, getting one step closer in preparing for the Ivy League Indoor championships at the end of February.

The meet was small, but included conference competition from teams like host Harvard and Princeton, providing a solid preview for what's to come later in the season. In the weight throw, Emma Vasen threw 15.99 meters for a solid ninth place. She also finished ninth in the shot put, throwing 13.46 meters while Alladia Patterson finished 12th with a throw of 12.18 meters.

In the triple jump, Tessa Malone took sixth place jumping 11.28 meters, while Olivia Mooney led the way in the high jump clearing 1.55 meters. Abrianna Barrett also cleared 1.55 meters, showing consistency across her first four competitions as a Bulldog. First-year Sydney Kunkler competed in the long jump and improved upon her jump from last week, moving from 5.15 meters to 5.27 meters for a 12th place finish. Coming off a vault that matched her personal best last week, Erin Gerardo jumped 3.80 meters, narrowly missing her personal best but taking three attempts at a career-best of 3.90 meters before finishing in fifth place overall.

Next week, the full Bulldog squad will be competing as Yale hosts rivals Harvard and Princeton in the highly contested Harvard-Yale-Princeton tri-meet.
