All-Decade Team Announced

11 Bulldogs Honored From 2010-19

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - It was a decade of 79 victories, 34 All-Ivy League selections, two league players of the year and a pair of rookies of the year. From 2010 through 2019 the Yale Women's Soccer Team brought many great moments for the fans at Reese Stadium.

Here are the Bulldogs who made the All-Decade Team as selected by the Yale Soccer Association.
 
Becky BrownBecky Brown '11
Brown, a forward, was 2009 Ivy League Player of the Year with 12 goals and 28 points. She finished her outstanding career with 29 goals, the fifth most in school history, 23 assists, which is second all-time, and 81 points, the third most in Yale history, while she made an All-Ivy team all four seasons.
 









Melissa GavinMelissa Gavin '11
Gavin, a forward, was the 2011 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a multiple-year selection on the all-league squad. She had six goals and 19 points that rookie season, and her seven assists that fall rank fifth best in program history. Gavin's 69 career points are seventh best at Yale.
 









Emma MulloEmma Mullo '12
Mullo, a midfielder, was a two-time all-league selection who earned first team honors as a senior in 2011 when she shared the Ivy League lead with eight goals, including four game-winning tallies.
 










Kristen ForsterKristen Forster '13
Forster was a two-time All-Ivy League pick who notched 10 game-winning goals while helping the Elis win 35 games. She scored 16 goals and notched 49 career points as a midfielder.
 










Muriel BattagliaMuriel Battaglia '15
Battaglia was a first-team All-Ivy League defender in 2014 who was invited to participate in New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association's Senior Bowl. She was also a two-time Capital One Academic All-District I first-team selection. 
 










Meredith SpeckMeredith Speck '15
Speck, a forward and midfielder, was a three-time first-team All-Ivy selection who was named to the United States Under-23 Women's National Team in 2012. She also made All-New England honors three times as a Bulldog.
 










Elise WilcoxElise Wilcox '15
Wilcox established Yale season records for goals against (0.50) and save percentage (.914, tops in the nation) in 2014 and was the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. Her career 0.96 goals against average is second all-time at Yale, while her .842 save percentage is third best in school history.
 









Carlin HudsonCarlin Hudson '18
Hudson, a defender who was selected by the North Carolina Courage in the fourth round of the 2018 National Women's Soccer League College Draft, earned All-Ivy League honors in three seasons. Only a season-ending injury in game one of her sophomore campaign prevented Hudson from a fourth selection.
 









Michelle AlozieMichelle Alozie '19
Alozie, a two-time All-Ivy pick at forward, was 2017 Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Year and a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection. She was named to United Soccer Coaches All-East Region second team after notching nine goals (4 game-winners) and 23 points.
 









Aerial ChavarinAerial Chavarin '20
Chavarin, a forward, was Ivy League Rookie of the Year after leading the Bulldogs with nine goals and 23 points and then 2019 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. She was a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection and made the United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team before earning the Nellie Pratt Elliot Award, Yale's top prize for a senior female athlete. Chavarin, who made three All-Ivy teams, played for the Chicago Stars during the 2020 campaign.
 







Noelle HigginsonNoelle Higginson '20
Higginson, a three-time, first team All-Ivy midfielder pick, finished her career with 14 goals, 11 assists and 39 points. She was a two-time United Soccer Coaches All-East second-team selection and led the team with three game-winning goals in 2019.
