NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Three members of the Yale women's soccer team were lauded with year-end awards from the Ivy League, as announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Logan Jacobs was named to the All-Ivy First Team,
Vienna Lundstedt earned Second Team honors, and
Karoline Hernes garnered Academic All-Ivy accolades.
Jacobs proved to be a cornerstone of the Bulldogs' midfield this season, earning league recognition for the second consecutive year. The Avon, Conn., native started in 13 games and played every minute in 10 of them. She rose to the occasion in key moments, contributing assists in back-to-back matches against Fordham and Brown. Finishing her Yale career with more than 3,800 minutes on the pitch, Jacobs left a lasting impact as a steady and influential presence for the Bulldogs.
Lundstedt had a breakout season for the Bulldogs, leading the team with six goals, good for fourth overall in the conference. She started 14 games for Yale and totaled a team-high 14 points. Throughout the season, Lundstedt made key contributions, assisting on game-winning goals against Vermont and Princeton, scoring a crucial goal versus No. 25 Vanderbilt, and netting two goals in the game at Stony Brook.
Hernes, a Mechanical Engineering major and standout both on the field and in the classroom at Yale, recorded two assists and a career-high 990 minutes in the midfield for the Bulldogs.
