ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The No. 5 Bulldogs kicked off the spring season with a no contest win at the Mendelblatt Trophy hosted by Eckerd College. Assistant coach Martim Anderson commented that the event was a "solid start to our team race season. [There were] lots of races completed which allowed us to gain experience and identify our weaknesses." Sophomore crew Helena Ware agrees that the "beautiful two days of sailing in Florida" enabled the Bulldogs to experiment with the practical application of many of the strategic fundamentals the team has been developing over the chilly offseason.
