NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale coed sailing team opened up its Fall campaign at a pair of regattas over the weekend. The Bulldogs hosted the Harry Anderson Trophy and competed for the Pine Trophy hosted by Coast Guard.
At home, the Bulldogs raced two squads, placing fourth and ninth overall.
Carly Kieding and
Patrick Wahlig made their collegiate debuts.
Yale also traveled to New London for the Pine Trophy. The Bulldogs finished third with 51 points. Brown finished first, followed by Roger Williams.
Morgan Pinckney served as skipper, while
Annabel Woodworth,
Mathias Reimer, and
Alexander Adams competed as crew. The squad won three races and placed second in another two.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Sept. 13 at Brown and MIT.
