EAST HAMPTON, N.Y.. – The Yale Men's Golf Team shot a third-round 281 to finish sixth at the 2021 Hamptons Invitational this afternoon at Maidstone Club.
An 887 total (308-298-281) put the Bulldogs behind Duke, Liberty, Northwestern, Virginia and winner Georgia Tech, which was four under par, on the 6,700-yard, par 72 course. Yale was 23 over par.
Ben Carpenter shot a team-best 66 today to finish tied for 14
th overall with a 219 (76-77-66). Captain
Teddy Zinsner was 25
th at 221 (75-74-72), while
Sho Wai Wu took 31
st with 224 (78-76-70).
The Elis finish the fall schedule by playing Harvard and Princeton at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., on Oct. 24.
