NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale volleyball team is back in the friendly confines of the John J. Lee Amphitheater for the third straight weekend, hosting Harvard on Friday at 7 p.m. and Dartmouth on Saturday at 5 p.m.
The Bulldogs (9-3, 2-1 Ivy League) swept Columbia and Cornell last weekend to keep pace in the Ivy League standings.
Mila Yarich had a season-high 14 kills and hit .583 in the sweep of Cornell last Saturday. She was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for her efforts.
Bonnie Bostic added 12 kills against the Big Red, while
Maile Somera had four aces and match-high 21 digs. Yale finished strong in all three sets against Cornell, including a 6-0 run in set two to take firm control of the match.
Multiple Bulldogs also came through in the victory last Friday against Columbia. Yale used a balanced attack on offense with Bostic (12 kills),
Audrey Leak (8 kills), Yarich (8 kills) and
Zoie Stewart (6 kills) leading the way.
Additional notes heading into the weekend:
* Yale leads the Ivy League in service aces per set (1.91). Somera ranks first in the conference with a 0.64 average per set.

Fatima Samb has emerged as one of the most efficient hitters in the Ivy League. She enters the weekend ranked fifth in the league with a .406 hitting percentage with 17 kills in conference play.
* Bostic ranks third in the conference with a 3.91 kills per set average. She leads the team with 126 kills on the season.
* The Bulldogs rank second in league play in hitting percentage as a team (.267), nearly 30 points higher than the next best team (Columbia, .238).

Carly Diehl ranks third in league play in assists per set (10.36).
* After this weekend's matches, the Bulldogs will play their next five matches on the road. Yale's next home match is Friday, Nov. 5, against Penn.
SCOUTING HARVARD
The Crimson (5-7, 2-1 Ivy) gave Princeton all it could handle in a five-set loss last Saturday. The loss against the Tigers snapped a four-match win streak. Harvard is led on offense by Jaimie Rao and Katie Vorhies, who both average more than three kills per set. In league play, the Crimson rank second in both assists per set (13.00) and opponent hitting percentage (.149).
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
After an 8-1 start to the season, the Big Green has lost its last three entering this weekend's matches. Emma Engstrom ranks fourth in the league in digs and service aces, while Ellie Blain leads the team with a 3.83 kills per set average in all matches played. As a team, the Big Green rank second behind Yale in service aces in conference play.
