NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs return home this weekend with the goal of clinching their third Ivy League title in four seasons and also honor their five seniors in the final weekend of the regular season. Yale hosts Dartmouth on Friday and Harvard on Saturday.
With two wins this weekend, the Bulldogs can also clinch the No. 1 overall seed in the Ivy League tournament next weekend. Yale and Princeton are tied with 11-1 conference records with each team having won the head-to-head matches at home. The Bulldogs' 3-0 win in New Haven earlier this year, and 3-1 loss at Princeton last weekend, gives them the edge in sets won gives them the tiebreaker between the two schools.
Before the match on Saturday, the Bulldogs will honor their five seniors:
Sam Bray,
Amelia Browne,
Tiffany Pedersen-Henry,
Zoie Stewart and team captain
Renee Shultz.
The class of 2023 has been a part of a historic chapter of Yale volleyball:
- Two Ivy League titles (2018, 2019)
- First place in the Ivy League standings entering this weekend (11-1 record)
- 69 total wins
- 17-match win streak this season (2nd longest in nation)
- 33-4 overall mark at home
- 22-3 against Ivy teams at home
- 2018 NCAA appearance

Scouting Dartmouth
The Big Green (16-6, 8-4 Ivy) have won six of seven entering the weekend. Dartmouth, along with Brown, Princeton and Yale, have clinched a spot in the Ivy League tournament and have a chance to place as high as the No. 3 seed. Junior Bomi Ogunlari is seven away from breaking the program record for blocks in a season. The Bulldogs won 3-1 at Dartmouth on Oct. 8.
Scouting Harvard
The Crimson enter the weekend 5-15 overall and 4-8 in Ivy League play. Harvard dropped matches at Columbia and Cornell last weekend. Eariler this season, Yale won at Harvard 3-1. Katie Vorhies leads the team with 195 kills on the season. First-years Brynne Faltinsky and Hannah Nguyen led the team last weekend. Faltinsky posted a team-leading 11 kills against Cornell and adding six more against Columbia. Nguyen led the team in digs.
