The Yale women's tennis team's first loss of the spring was a heartbreaker. The Bulldogs fell to Indiana 4-3 in Bloomington.

Yale won two of the doubles matches to earn the first point. At No. 1, the duo of
Jessie Gong and
Chelsea Kung turned in a dominant performance, cruising to a 6-1 victory over IU's top team of Laura Masic and Lara Schneider. The Bulldogs also won at No. 3 as
Mirabelle Brettkelly and
Rhea Shrivastava posted a 6-3 victory.

Kung also had a strong day at No. 1 singles, defeating Masic 6-3, 6-3. Brettkelly turned in an impressive singles performance as well, disposing of Rose Hu at No. 4 6-1, 6-1.

The Bulldogs are now 2-1 in spring play.

Next up is the ECAC Championship at Cornell next weekend.
