CARLSBAD, Calif. – The Yale Men's Golf Team moved up two places from yesterday and finished in sixth place with a score of 875 at the UC San Diego Invitational at La Costa today.
Sacramento State won the two-day, three-round event with an 854.
Senior
Darren Lin (70-71-74) was Yale's top finisher with a 215, which tied him for 10
th place. He had two of the four Eli rounds under par on the par-72, 7,100-yard layout.
First year
Blake Brantley, who was in 16
th place, had the low round of the event for a Bulldog by carding a 67 yesterday in the second round on the Champions Course.
Senior captain
Teddy Zinsner had the other under-par round with a 68 in the first one.
The Bulldogs next compete in the April 9-10 Princeton Invitational before hosting the Yale Invitational on April 16 at the Yale Golf Course.
