BOSTON -- The closing day of the ECAC Championships for the Yale women's track and field team Sunday at BU was highlighted by an impressive 800m run by junior Samantha Friborg. Friborg placed third in the preliminary round Saturday in 2:07.41, and she came back stronger to place second in Sunday's final with a time of 2:06.34. This was the third-fastest time in her collegiate career and second all-time at Yale.

Seniors Addison Coy, Libby McMahon and Maya Sharp also qualified to run in their respective final events but elected to not compete.

While the indoor season has come to a close for the majority of the team, senior Kayley DeLay will continue on to the NCAA Indoor National Championships in Birmingham, Ala., next Friday. She is running the 5k and she is seeded 11th in the field.
