Clark, Emsbo Earn All-Ivy Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore guard Jenna Clark (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and junior forward Camilla Emsbo (Lakewood, Colo.), who have helped the Yale women's basketball team earn the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Ivy League Tournament, were honored by the Ivy League Wednesday as the league announced its annual awards. Emsbo was named first team All-Ivy League, the second All-Ivy honor of her career. She was a unanimous selection. Clark was named second team All-Ivy League.

Emsbo has developed into one of the league's top players. She ranks among the Ivy top six in:
  • Blocks per game (1st, 2.3) (22nd nationally)
  • Field goal percentage (1st, .520)
  • Rebounds per game (2nd, 10.0)
  • Free throw percentage (3rd, .717)
  • Points per game (6th, 14.3)
Emsbo's 57 blocks for the season place her six away from the school record of 63, set by Erica Davis '07 in 2006-07. Her season high in points was 26 in the win at Fairfield Nov. 28 (three away from her career high). Her season and career high in rebounds was 19 against Columbia Feb. 12. She had a career high six blocks in the win vs. Army West Point Dec. 28.

Just three years into her career Emsbo is already second on Yale's career blocks list with 171, trailing only Davis (182). This is the second All-Ivy League honor of her career, as she was a second team pick in 2019-20.

Emsbo is an ecology and evolutionary biology major in Branford College at Yale and is a graduate of Lakewood High. Her twin sister, Kira, plays for Princeton.
Clark emerged as one of the best point guards in the league this season, establishing a Yale single-season record with 158 assists. That is 19 more than any other player in the Ivy League this year. Clark has had 10 or more assists in a game three times this season, with a high of 11 (Jan. 15 in the win at Cornell). She ranks among the league's top 20 in:
  • Assists per game (6.1, 1st) (11th nationally)
  • Three-point field goals per game (11th, 1.6)
  • Points per game (13th, 11.7)
  • Rebounds per game (17th, 4.8)
  • Steals per game (17th, 1.4)

This is the first All-Ivy honor of Clark's career. She is a sociology major in Trumbull College at Yale and is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High.

The All-Ivy League team is determined by a vote of the league's eight head coaches. Yale has now had 10 All-Ivy League selections in Allison Guth's seven years as the team's Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954 Head Coach of Women's Basketball.

Yale plays the No. 2 seed in the Ivy League Tournament, Columbia, in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
