ITHACA, N.Y. – In its first Ivy League road match of the spring, the Yale women's tennis team earned an important 4-1 victory over Cornell. The Bulldogs improved to 3-1 in league play with the win.
After losing the doubles point, Yale rallied in singles play.
Chelsea Kung, who is No. 71 in the latest ITA rankings, cruised to a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 1.
Jessie Gong (No. 4) and
Rhea Shrivastava (No. 5) were also straight sets winners.
Mirabelle Brettkelly posted a three-set victory at No. 3.
The Bulldogs, No. 59 in the ITA team rankings, look for a weekend sweep when they play at No. 63 Columbia on Sunday at 1 p.m.
