Vasen Shines on Last Day of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA -- Senior captain Emma Vasen of the Yale women's track and field team had an amazing day in the discus throw Friday at the Penn Relays. Vasen produced a mark of 48.94m to place sixth in the meet and set a new personal record by 1.01m. She also moved up to second on Yale's all-time list in the event. After finishing ninth in the hammer throw yesterday, Vasen's improvement today shows that she is more than ready for Heps next weekend.

The relay team of seniors Libby McMahon, Aliya Boshnak, Ava Thomas and Sophie Isom elected to not compete in the 4x100m relay Friday.

The Bulldogs have their last meet of the regular season on Sunday at the Springtime Invite in New Haven at the Cuyler Athletic Complex. Then, their focus will be on the Ivy Heps Championship next weekend also in New Haven.
