CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Yale coed sailing team raced at a pair of regatts over the weekend with the team coming in sixth at the Atlantic Coast Championship at St. Mary's and ninth for the Oberg Trophy at MIT.
At the ACCs, the team faced windy conditions on both Saturday and Sunday. Despite this, the A division team was quite successful; skipper
Teddy Nicolosi and crews
Ximena Escobar and Ashley Highland came in second place, finishing only a single point behind first place, Brown. The B Division team, skipper Morgan Pinckney and crews
Nathan Sih and
Jessi Avila-Shah came in 13th in their division.
At the Oberg, the Bulldogs experienced mixed results on the notoriously tricky Charles River. In B Division, skipper Alex Adams and crew
Julia Miller came in second place, impressively finishing with nine top-five finishes out of 14 total races. A Division came in 11th place while, and C Division came in ninth place.
Next weekend, the Yale coed team will sail their final events of the season for the Schell Trophy at MIT and the Dave Perry Trophy at home.
