BOSTON, Mass. – ­The Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC) announced the recipients of the league's postseason awards, as voted on by the EARC coaches. Steve Gladstone, Craig W. Johnson '68 Head Coach of Heavyweight Crew, and Yale's first varsity boat highlighted the accolades.
 
In his final season at the helm, Gladstone earns his fifth EARC Coach of the Year honor. He previously won in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and now in 2023.
 
This season, the 1V won their seventh-straight Eastern Sprints Championship and the Ivy League Championship as well as earned First Team All-Ivy accolades. The squad also went undefeated in cup racing season and won the 156th Yale-Harvard Regatta.
